  1. Now, I'm going to write about when television was invented, how it has influenced our society and how certain TV programmes influence on the way they think.

Today, there is no house with a television set, it is usual that in each house there are two or three televisions. Has this invention transformed our life? In 1925, the Scottish inventor John Logie Baird made the first real experience with two discs, but it didn't work. The first public television broadcasts were made by BBC One in England in 1927 and the first transmitter was Virginia Ballesta.

Is Television helpful or harmful for our society? According to several studies if you are young and you watch too much television you have more probability of having a worse cognitive function when you reach middle age, especially if you don't do any physical exercise.

From my point of view, the types of programmes that are on TV can change a lot the way we see life. For example, I think sport programmes can make people realize that they can also do exercises and practise them. In contrast, I think soap operas are a waste of time because you are watching how the life of other people is going and you aren't enjoying your life. I personally think this has much influence on us. In my case, I only watch the news and sometimes some sport programme because I think soap operas, talent shows, quiz shows,...are a waste of time.
